Ski hard, party harder
The Arlberg in which St Anton is located is now Austria's largest linked ski area thanks to the opening of the Flexenbahn lift in 2016, which opened up links with the resort of Lech. St Anton is known both as the 'cradle of Alpine skiing, because of its role in creating the sport, as well as for it's wild après-ski, there are pistes aplenty here and one of the best snow records in Europe.
'A firm favourite with excellent skiers who love good nightlife'
One of Austria’s finest ski resorts, St Anton is simply perfect, whether you’re looking for a short break, or a longer holiday. A firm favourite with excellent skiers who love good nightlife, it is based in the Arlberg ski area, with its own very distinct character.
Nestled in the mountains at 1304m, St Anton has one of the best snow records in Europe, and outstanding access to immaculate slopes: 305 km, to be exact, as well as 200 km of off-piste terrain. It’s heaven for the advanced skier, with plenty of guides ready to take you around the more exciting areas, and lots of options for intermediate skiers looking to build up their level (the bowl beneath the Valluga is a real favourite). And of course, once you’ve let off steam on the slopes, and recovered in the spas, there is plenty going on after dark, with jolly bars and great camaraderie to be found throughout the town.
