Do

The awesome Iguazu Falls should not be missed. Set in the stunning Iguazu national park, and making up part of the largest waterfall system in the world, when Eleanor Roosevelt saw them she was heard to cry: “my poor Niagara”. Take a heart-pumping speed boat ride here or explore the beautiful Amazon at a more leisurely pace on a boat cruise.

In Rio, travel skywards to the top of Corcovado mountain to see the colossal statue of Christ the Redeemer and experience the breathtaking panorama of city, beach and coastline below. or take the cable car up the nearby Sugarloaf mountain for similar stunning views.

Rio’s Latin vibe is ever present, but the party really comes alive at its world-famous Carnival held annually to mark the start of Lent.

Eat

Brazil's cuisine is diverse and pays homage to the country’s Amerindian, European and African heritage. Don't leave without trying a traditional Feijoada (black bean stew) and at least a few of the quintessential Brazilian cocktail, the Caipirinha - a heady mix of Cachaca, lime, sugar and crushed ice.
