Banff has seriously stunning scenery

Nestled in Banff National Park, this friendly town is also packed with great places to eat and drink, as well as shopping, all with a jaw-dropping view of the mountains. There’s a terrific après-ski social life, and accommodation to suit parties of all budgets and sizes.

But the skiing is the serious wow factor. Banff has three ski areas offering a whopping 7500 acres of slopes, ranging from gentle runs for beginners, to exhilarating terrain, and all easily accessible by free shuttle bus from town. They’re even on one Tri-Area lift ticket so you can move between runs – if you’ve managed to stop gawping at the scenery, that is.

‘Sunshine Village’ offers a spectrum of terrains for all levels of skier, and is probably the spot you’ll spend the majority of your ski holiday. If you want to step into more of the local’s grounds and travel slightly further for your ski, head to Mount Norquay where you’ll find a world class ski resort.
